And that variation could also be a difference with what version of LW you are running. I have not played a LW campaign that didn't have a large UFO land in the first month, the only variation I have seen is the LUFO land on the 2nd or 3rd day of the 2nd month, as was the case in my current campaign. U seem like a experienced and skilled player. Ursprünglich geschrieben von and interesting response. However I don´t think I am experienced enough too take enough advantage of the extra cherry picking possibilites of a deeper roster of soldiers. What difficulty level do you play on? (only asking so I know how your experience relate to my I can see your point there I guess. Is that decent in your opinion? Maybe 3 labs? My plan is to build a 2 by 2 grid with 2 labs and psi/gene. How many labs to you find is good to build? I had my first operational 1 april and will have my second operational 21 april. Have only had a scout land so far in mid april and that did not give me that much I feel.

Was not aware that landings gives so much loot that u can sell for so much credit. I need to read up even more on what loot is ok to sell.

However it is my understanding that the mod is built around that you are not "supposed" to be able to beat the Large UFO so I am fine with that. Especially if some of them are Lids or other dangerous/advanced aliens. Is that an "issue"? And I am fairly certain that I am not skilled enough to be able to beat 24 aliens in first month. I have not had a Large UFO land in first month on any of my 2 campaigns. I few follow up questions if u don´t mind. And having multiple labs up early means I'm always on top of the research game, which benefits both tactical and and interesting response. The reason why I go UK and then Russia is because I need my soldiers on their A-game for tactical UFO missions - that's where the real money is. From memory, you get $150-200 for a bounty and $300-700 creds worth of loot for a landing. Personally, I find time much more valuable than money, so I invest heavily in Labs and then avionics which is usually more profitable, since securing UFO's, bounties/landings nets you way more than having 3-4 satellites. Worst case is you bork it and have to restart the first month.

I typically don't worry too much about satellites or any bonus that gives extra credits as you can get 700 credits worth of loot from the large UFO landing first month, especially in 15-f, as they toned down those missions to only 24 or so aliens, not like 15-e where it was 37 and full of lids. Yeah, I don't think 20 extra soldiers is all that good, unless you are planning a mass meld canister suicide run. Ursprünglich geschrieben von Cancle:I am new to the mod (and somewhat to the game). I am mid april and have so far bought 5 new soldiers.

Ii it not more viable to just buy soldiers a few at a time as the campaign progress as u need them. Why do u guys like the 20 extra soldiers bonus? At least on normal that is only 500 credits extra for something that u have no immidiate use of. I am now mid april and content with my choice so far. Also I liked the in game country bonuses for Canada and USA better.įor example the officer training school bonus is worth around 1900 credits (iirc) so that is very attractive but due to the reasoning stated above I chose wealthy benefactor instead. I decided NA hade the continent bonus I preferred and choose Mexico +500 credits beacuse money is almost always worth more early game then late game (in most games) as you have a higher chanse to get a head start that hopefully get u on the right track that has the potential of snowball. So I started a new campaign with the aim of geting the continet bonus the first month. Ended campaign late april due to too much damage to my air fleet (had 6) and realizing that I would not get the europe bonus until around month 4 which I thought made my "build" a bit unoptimal. Playing on Normal w/ hidden potential.įirst play picked france council req etc. I am new to the mod (and somewhat to the game).
